These cinnamon apple croissants are a great addition to the school lunchbox and are super simple to make. You can even get the kids involved and get them grating the apple. And…you only need three ingredients. Bonus!
Peel and grate an apple.
Mix the cinnamon with the grated apple (to taste)
Cut triangles into the puff pastry (as shown below). TIP: I use a pizza roller for uniform lines.
Place the grated apple/cinnamon mix onto each puff pastry triangle.
Roll each triangle, starting from the large end, forming the shape of a croissant.
Brush the croissants with some milk or egg white, and bake in the oven for 20-25 mins at 180 degrees celsius, or until golden.
Enjoy whilst warm, put in your child’s lunchbox or keep for an after school snack. Bon appétit!
